I currently own a Suzuki GZ250. It rides as comfortably as my 1962 BMW R50S which I rode back in 1965. I just returned from a 500 mile (one-way) trip into a 15 to 25 mph wind way out in West Texas. All I could manage was 45 - 49 mph directly into the wind with the new windshield faring from J.C. Whitney. The 500 miles took me 16 hours!!!! My butt didn't get sore until I had ridden for 12 hours, so the seat was great.
MY QUESTION: Would a Savage cruise at 55 - 60 in the same condition? And what other advantages would the Savage give me over the little 250 thumper?
By the Way, I used to flat track race a 250cc CZ (Jawa) 2-stroke thumper back in 64 around Lake City, Fla.
